A South Staffordshire Enamel Patch Box, late 18th century, of oval form printed and overpainted with A Trifle from Margate The Endeavour entering the Pier, the base with pink ground, 5cm wide; and A Similar Box, printed with a ruined classical column inscribed A Pledge of Love, the base with green ground, 4.3cm wide (2)

Condition Report: Margate box with some cracking along the bottom edge of the top obscuring some of the title and with 2mm by 1mm section of enamel missing. Significant wear and scratching to the top. The base with 1cm long section of enamel missing to rim and with significant wear to edge base. Mirror inside cracked and 7mm by 4mm triangular section of enamel lacking to inside. Pledge of love box with broken hinge. Minor cracking to edge of top. Significant cracking to inside and outside of base and with six areas of enamel loss to edge of base, the largest 4mm by 2mm. 100211
