A Minton Pâte-sur-Pâte Plate, dated 1902, decorated by Alboine Birks, with a winged cherub throwing fruit from an apple tree on a brown ground within an octagonal gilt border on a gilt pebbled ground within a moulded and pierced lobed border, with shells and waves picked out in gilding, AB monogram, printed mark in gilt and impressed marks and date code, 23cm diameter For a similar plate signed by Alboine Birks, previously in the Minton Museum Collection, see Phillips, Bond Street, 23 July 2002, lot 197.
