Condition Report:
The work has been cleaned and heavily restored in places, a great many of the original glazes and paintwork have been taken off and disturbed with restoration throughout the costumes of the figures and in the background colour as well as in the foreground. There is dirt and discoloured varnish across the surface as the cleaning and restoration probably took place 30-40 years ago. It is contained within an elaborately decorated 19th century gilt plaster and wooden frame.
