The naval officer's sword - the blade tip is slightly bent, there is black patching to the surface, the hilt has small nicks and knocks to the edge particularly near the sword knot. The hilt bears traces of gilt. There is no scabbard. The cadet's sword - the blade has been blunted, the etching is faint and there is black patching to the surface. The ivory grip is cracked and broken in two places and the hilt is loose. The leather scabbard is scuffed.
