A 17th Century Small Sword, possibly French, the 78cm double edge steel blade with raised central rib to each side, lightly engraved with an indecipherable inscription, the brass hilt with double shell guard cast on each side with a figure kneeling in prayer, a couple embracing and a veiled head of a praying women, the stirrup knuckle bow and globular pommel cast with further figures, with copper wire bound grip, lacks scabbard.
