A Pratt Type Pottery Loving Cup, circa 1863, the ovoid bowl with leaf sheathed handles, on a circular foot, colour printed with a half length portrait of Edward, Prince of Wales and Princess Alexandra within a gilt cartouche, the reverse with a rose, thistle and shamrock within gilt borders, 17.2cm This print, usually seen on pot lids, was produced to commemorate the wedding of Edward and Princess Alexandra of Denmark in 1863.
