A Pair of Pearlware D Shape Bough Pots and Pierced Covers, probably Davenport, circa 1820, with fluted rims on three bun feet, printed in underglaze blue with the Chinoiserie Ruins pattern, 16.5cm wide See Lockett (Terence) and Godden (Geoffrey) Davenport, Barrie & Jenkins, p.138, where it is suggested that the only blue printed pearlware bulb pot recorded is a Davenport example also printed with the Chinoiserie Ruins pattern but of a different shape to the present pair.
