David Lloyd Jones was born in Wimbledon in 1928. He trained at Guildford School of Art, doing some pottery 1951-2, but is largely self-taught. He produced a range of domestic ware, in short runs and individual pieces, in thrown stoneware and porcelain. He used a number of glazes and processes, including salt-glaze and wax resist.
