He Chaozong is a well known Chinese potter of the 17th century, fashioning mainly Buddhist inspired white porcelain figures. His works are identified by an impressed mark, and are usually thickly potted. The late 19th and early 20th centuries saw a revival of figures made in the manner of He Chaozong and these also bear seal marks.
