First and Second World War Royal Navy Interest:- a Collection of Ephemera Relating to Arthur King of the Royal Navy, together with his Certificate of Service, Trade Certificate, Torpedo History Sheets, two photograph albums showing a record of his voyages on HMS Veronica during 1924-1927, a family photograph album, postcards, birth, marriage and death certificates, with four silver trophy cups, four plated trophy cups, six silver medallions and five base metal examples, all cased, for swimming and water polo competitions. **Arthur King joined the Royal Navy in 1913. He served in the First World War and in peacetime, entering the Reserve in 1937. He had just two months left to serve when the Second World War was declared and subsequently found himself back on active service. He rose to the rank of CPO. He was an excellent swimmer
