A Silver Gilt Mounted German Faience Enghalskrug, circa 1720, the mounts by Elias Adam, Augsburg, the domed cover with circular panel depicting the Lamb of God and with scroll thumb piece over a ribbed neck, wrythen body and double ropetwist handle, painted in blue with stylised foliage, the circular foot with stiff leaf mount, painted caduceus mark in blue, 17.5cm high
Elias Adam became a master in Augsburg around 1704 and specialised in the mounting of porcelain, pottery and hardstone vessels.
