Douglas Motorcycles was a British manufacturer based in Kingswood, Bristol and produced motorcycles between 1907 and 1957. Famous in the main part for their flat twin engine motorcycles, Douglas also had a short spell of Cycle-Car production between 1913 and 1922 where it tried to fill the gap between the motorcycle and motorcar.

This Douglas is a Mk III T35 with matching numbers and is very presentable with nice patina and not overly restored. Fitted with the 348cc horizontally opposed transverse OHV twin engine. With matching numbers and in running order supplied with old MOT certificates, it is possibly one of only around 45 left (source The London Douglas Motorcycle Club Ltd)
2314 Mk III's were produced with 1472 in standard/de luxe form and 842 sports versions.

The rear mudguard of the bike appears to show it was supplied by Jordon's of Story Street Hull, a motorcycle dealer established in the early 1900's the building of which has long since been demolished.

Carlton Motorcycles were produced between 1922 and 1940 initially in Lockhurst Lane, Coventry with production moving to Clarence Road, Worksop, Nottingham in 1937 (some bikes may have been produced in Scotland). Carlton shifted from motorcycle production to bicycle production in 1940. Motorcycle production was sporadic with the company almost disappearing at times, making Carlton Motorcycles very rare.

This Motorcycle a 1937 model with 125cc Villiers single cylinder two stroke engine, 3 speed hand control gear box and chain drive is reputed to have had circa £5000.00 spent on restoration and is presented in fantastic order requiring only minor finishing touches to achieve a high show standard.

With its current owner since 1989 and has clearly been very well cared for.

Laverda motorcycles were founded in Italy in 1873 and produced until 2004 when Piaggio took over the brand name. In the late 60's Laverda was facing strong competition from the Japanese manufacturers and decided to produce a triple cylinder engine, after extensive testing they released the 981cc triple in 1972. Up until 1982 the engine was produced with a slightly unusual 180 degree crankshaft arrangement whereby one piston would be at the top of the stroke when the other was at the bottom, this purposefully out of phase design gave the bikes a very distinctive character.

This particular bike was imported to this country in 1994 and has since had three former keepers.

Presented in red, bearing Jota logo's and also apparently fitted with Jota camshafts (photo provided showing 4-C stamped on the cam). Unfortunately without its original matching engine number.

The current owner is said to have had the front forks refurbished, however there is no receipt.

Supplied with three previous MOT certificates 2007, 2011 and 2015 plus the current Mot.

The bike would benefit from a little TLC to bring it back to its former glory, now becoming a rare and desirable machine.

The Lincoln Continental was produced by the Lincoln Division of the Ford Motor Company with production starting in 1939 and continuing on and off until present day. The Continental MK IV was available between 1972-1976 and is distinguished by hidden headlights and the "Continental spare tyre" trunklid.

This car is a Limited Designer Edition Bill Blass that was available only in dark blue with cream vinyl roof "Normande Grain" and complimented with a dark blue leather interior with cream accents.

The Designer Series also incorporated signature Opera side windows. Fitted with Ford's 7.5L 460 Cubic Inch V8 Engine (The V5C states 7000cc but figures are commonly inputted incorrectly with imported vehicles) and a three speed column shift automatic gearbox.

By repute the vehicle was owned by Exxon Oil and was maintained in Saudi Arabia by them before it came to the UK in 1989.

The drivers side electric window drive cog has failed, replacements are readily available.

The Ford Opus was one of the more unusual vehicles to be created using Anglia bits 'n' pieces. Dating from the late 60's early 70's and with all the chassis parts coming from the Ford Anglia 105E the fibreglass body was manufactured by Marcos and a windscreen was an optional extra. This car was designed to be a cheap way of building your own hot rod with kits costing around £150. A copy of an original sales advert is included within the sale.
The chasis is an early tubular one, manufactured c 1967/8

This car presented in gold metal flake over red is supplied with three nylon roofs red, yellow, white and green fabric original. Fitted with two different size spare wheels due to the difference in size between front and rear wheels. The vehicle was said to have been built by its previous keeper as a wedding present, the wife was not impressed and it saw little use before passing on to its new keeper in 1993 with around 800 miles only showing. The original speedometer stopped working at 01,015 miles in 1995 probably due to lack of use and was replaced with a used item showing around 34,500 miles which seems to indicate an overall mileage of less than 1,500 miles since it was built. The original failed speedometer is included in the sale.

The vehicle has only been used for shows and to take Santa to the local Christmas light switch on.

Cherished registration BUI 1844 included in the sale.

The Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham was manufactured by Cadillac between 1977-1986. The designations of "Fleetwood" "Brougham" and "d'Elegance" had been used on various models of Cadillac from as early as the 50's onwards and always been used on their luxury models. This Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham presented in silver with a red leather interior, the current owner was told that the car was supplied new to an American family for use at their holiday home in Ireland. It then moved on to its second owner in Hartlepool and then on to its current keeper. Hence the mileage is believed by its current keeper to be true as the vehicle only saw little use whilst residing in Ireland. MOT history back to 1984 helps to authenticate the mileage.

The vehicle is sold with the spare parts listed in the condition report and a selection of show accessories and American related items.

The MG BGT introduced in 1962 was an innovative modern design two door sports car that utilised a monocoque structure rather than the body on frame construction seen on earlier MG's. Production ran from 1962 to 1980 and well over half a million cars were produced during this period.

This Chrome bumper 1969 MkII car has had an automatic transmission conversion carried out to suit its current keeper and is presented in green with black vinyl interior. Sporting wire wheels with a good set of Firestone tyres.

The Humber Super Snipe was built in Britain between 1938 and 1967. In 1964 the Rootes group revived the Humber Imperial name for its top of the range Humber Super Snipe. The car had vinyl clad roof and automatic transmission fitted as standard along with a luxuriously appointed interior featuring fully reclining front seats and separately controlled rear passenger heater. The model also featured electrically adjustable rear shock absorbers to aid ride comfort. Limited numbers were built and it is thought perhaps around 40-50 examples still exist in various states of repair.

This rare Imperial is presented in Goodwood green metallic with beige interior. Paint code 113. Body-work by Thrupp and Maberly Ltd of London. Having been off the road since 2012 the car has fallen in to disrepair and would be suitable for parts or a restoration project.

The engine received work in 2014 to get it running and the car was presented for MOT it failed on numerous points (see condition report for MOT fail). The current keeper then had the engine rebuilt including head repairs, head gasket etc in 23/03/2016 with a total cost of £3184.23 invoice included (see condition report for full details).
Not running
The vehicle has however been parked up since the engine rebuild and we would suggest it is inspected before attempting to start it. The car still requires all of the other works addressing from the MOT fail.

The Rolls Royce Silver Seraph was hand built in the Crewe Cheshire factory and production ran from 1998-2002 with a base price of around £155,000.00 it was the second most expensive Rolls Royce produced second only to the Corniche. Fitted with a BMW 5.4 Litre V12 engine and a 5 speed automatic transmission. This Rolls Royce Silver Seraph was supplied 23/03/2000 by Straight Eight (New Forest Ltd) Hampshire in deep aqua blue with tangier leather seats, centre consul, headlining, parcel shelf, under dash, and sun visors. With French navy top roll, steering wheel, steering column, rear ash trays, and seat piping. With dark blue carpets bound in tangier leather. Fitted with Navy lambs wool over mats, electrically operated windows, mirrors, seats etc. Both front and rear seats are heated with rear passenger picnic tables. Alpine multi cd player and satellite navigation. Extra cost options fitted include 2 RR umbrellas, rouched fan seat style and waist-rail stainless motifs-RR.

This Rolls Royce is in fantastic order and must be seen to be appreciated. However there is a discrepancy with the vehicles mileage and it would appear that at least one of the servicing stamps has been altered. The car was showing 144492 miles when it was MOT tested 01/04/2009 but then showed 42505 at its next MOT 25/01/2010. Previous MOT results show the mileage to be high and so it must be presumed that the vehicles mileage has been altered in 2009. This has been taken in to account with the vehicles low estimate but the condition of the vehicle is fantastic.

The engine management light is also illuminated and shows a brake pressure fault. The batteries will also not hold charge and will require replacement. The Rolls is supplied with its original book pack 2 x keys and receipts for servicing work totaling thousands of pounds (see the condition report for service information).

Private Registration Number R5 PJY is included within the sale.

Red/Cream

The Rolls Royce Corniche was developed from the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow with the two door variants of that model initially sold as the "Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward two door fixed head coupe" not surprisingly that mouthful was dropped and the name Corniche applied, the name originally stems from the French and Italian name for a coastal-cliff top road.

This Stunning Corniche is presented in maroon with a cream everflex roof and absolutely beautiful cream leather interior piped with maroon. Supplied by Mann Egerton and Co of London on the 09/11/1972.

These Rev counter cars are very rare and the extremely low mileage indicated would appear to be correct, when purchased by its current keeper the vehicle was supplied with previous MOT certificates to help authenticate the mileage these have since been misplaced.

Complete with the original carpet set still with HJ Mulliner Park Ward initials on the rubber foot rest, maroon lambs wool over mats, burr walnut dashboard and door capping's with only one small blemish under the o/s/r window. The front seats are in very good order with electric operation (fully working) and only minor wear to the drivers seat consistent with age and mileage. The rear seat appears to have never been sat upon in it is truly unmarked. The original period 8 track radio is still fitted along with a Blaupunkt cassette player. The headlining is in excellent condition and all gauges and test functions operate correctly, all electrically operated windows function correctly with the rear telltale function still working. Within the boot the original jack is still present in its vinyl carry case along with tool kit complete with bulbs and feeler gauges. The original emergency window crank is still present and fitted to the n/s of the boot.
Externally the paint-work has been painted in various areas and would benefit from professional attention, the paint-work is flat in several areas and seems to be missing its top coat/lacquer on most panels.
Supplied with two service books the first covering from 1972-80 and the second 1990-98 to help verify the mileage. 2 x keys and the original folder/ handbook pack. The service stamps are listed within the condition report along with MOT details.

The Rolls Royce Silver Cloud was introduced in 1955 and replaced the Silver Dawn model. Production continued until late 1965 when it was then replaced by the Silver Shadow. The Silver Cloud was the last Rolls Royce to be built upon a separate chassis. Although Rolls Royce would never disclose the exact performance figures of the 6230 CC V8 it simply described them as adequate.

This Silver Cloud III is presented in dawn blue with a light blue/grey leather interior, supplied from the factory with electric windows front and rear and also the option of air conditioning.
Supplied originally to dealers HR Owen of Berkeley Street London. The original jacks are present along with a nearly complete tool kit and spare wheel within the boot. Supplied with Rolls Royce service instruction leaflet contained within a file. The carpets appear to have been replaced recently with a navy set and are in very good order. The engine starts first time and runs very nicely with no overheating issues and the car runs and drives as it should with all gauges functioning correctly. Fitted with a good set of white wall radial tyres.

The Rolls is however in need of a considerable amount of body repairs and paint to return it to its former glory although it is perfectly useable as is.

Supplied only with its current MOT certificate and 4 handbooks and 3 x keys.

When purchased in 2015 it was said to have been supplied with original build sheet and history portfolio, this has since been misplaced by the current keeper and is therefore sold as is, mileage unknown.

The original Ford Sierra Cosworth was introduced at the 1985 Geneva Motor Show and was based on the 3 door Sierra body shell, it was designed by Ford's special vehicle engineering department (SVE) and was fitted with the now legendary 2.0 litre DOHC 16 valve Cosworth engine producing 204 bhp with the help of a Garret T3 turbocharger.

This Moonstone blue 3 door Cosworth is in lovely shape with good panel gaps and only a couple of very minor marks. The Recaro interior is in great shape with an unusual crack free dash. Fitted with the correct period Ford radio although not currently working. Original cross spoke 15" alloy wheels, whale tail, sunroof electric windows, central locking etc. The only items that appear to be non standard are that the vehicle has been fitted with a deadlock system to the n/s rear quarter panel and full stainless steel magnex exhaust with 4" tail-pipe.

Supplied with 17 previous MOT certificates, and a replacement service book with three stamps in 2006 @ 51853, 2007 @ 52056 and 2010 @ 53130. Recent receipts for work carried out.

1960 Volkswagen Split Screen 23 Window Samba Restoration Project

Old Style V5 Present: Listing 2 keepers since Jan 78

The Volkswagen Type 2 as it was officially known was a forward control rear engine panel van introduced in 1950 by the German auto-maker. The Beetle was the first production Volkswagen and took the designation Type 1.

The Split-Screen or Splitty as it is commonly referred to was available in many guises including the van, bus, camper, pick up, and crew cab pick up along with many other body types offered by third parties including ambulance and fire tender. One of the rarest of the Type 2's is the 23 window Samba also known in the states as the sunroof deluxe and was the most luxurious of the Split-Screens produced. Supplied from 1951 onwards and complete with fabric sunroof and two pivoting barn doors instead of the usual sliding type. The Samba was produced in two tone colour combinations with the two colours separated by aluminium decorative strips and also featured an extended section above the cab roof referred to as the hat to block the sun from the driver.

In today's market fully restored 23 window Samba's regularly change hands for six figure sums. This particular 23 window Samba certainly has a few things going for it despite its current appearance. The vehicle still has its original vin plate attached to the right hand side of the engine bay and the original chassis number can still be seen in the engine bay. The original tag plate with the M-codes is also still present behind the drivers seat back which when decoded shows that the vehicle's planned production build date was May the 18 th 1960 and it is a model 244 Microbus Deluxe-8 seater-with cargo doors to the left-full middle seat and RHD. The tag M codes also reveal it was originally supplied to Ramsgate in the UK making it extremely rare. Originally supplied with the upper half in beige grey and the lower in sealing wax red with the interior door panels and seats originally in colour 77 blue/grey. The tag also reveals code 20-speedometer in miles per hour. Code 43 complies with Swiss regulations. Code 108 Westfalia camper conversion and finally code 543 no seats in cargo area.

The vehicle was stripped by its current owner some years ago and has been stored in part form since. There is a substantial amount of parts supplied with the vehicle ready to be refurbished. The shell is extremely rusty and holed however it is supplied with a large amount of repair panels including wheel arches sill sections etc. All glass is present as are both front and rear bumpers, interior door panels and some of the wood frame from the original camper conversion although in extremely poor condition (see condition report for a brief list of parts included).

The Pontiac Fiero was produced between 1984 and 1988 by General Motors Pontiac Division, the company were very careful with how they marketed the car and sold it as a small engine 'commuter car' to not step on the toes of the Chevrolet Corvette. Initially available as four cylinder 2.5 mid-mounted engine and then latterly as a 2.8 litre V6.

The body panels were a largely plastic affair and mounted on to a separate chassis in theory the body could be removed and the vehicle still driven, hence the Pontiac Fiero is a very popular car with kit car builders and many have already been turned in to Ferrari look a likes.

This car is one of the early four cylinder cars and is said to have originally started out in Florida as a red car, vandal damage caused the owner at the time to re-spray the vehicle in its current 'Ford Imperial Blue'.

Fitted with grey velour interior the seats have built in speakers fitted to the head restraints. The current keeper has added the rare rear air intakes to help cool the engine.

Adorned with the Flying Horse decal across the bonnet and Fiero decal on the windscreen the car is not for the shy retiring person.

Sold with hand held self diagnostic machine which was well ahead of its time, owners manual, history file and numerous photographs.

Cherished registration A15 BGT is also included in the sale.

The vehicle is sold with the spare parts listed in the condition report.

The Ford V8 Pilot officially model E71A was only built between 1947 and 1951 before it was replaced by the Zephyr, despite the short production run Ford managed to produce twenty two thousand one hundred and fifty five cars most of which were four doors but also included an estate and pick up version.

Offered initially with a two thousand 2227 CC side valve engine but later replaced with a more substantial 3622 CC 90 HP V8 side valve. This 3622 CC V8 Pilot is presented in black with a gold coach-line and brown leather interior. Externally the vehicle is in fabulous order inside the leather has a good patina with brown carpet set, only the bakelite steering wheel and trim let it down slightly (common issue). Still with 6 volt electrics and jacking system fitted. It would appear that the vehicle has been owned by the same family almost from new. Unfortunately the vehicle is supplied with its V5C only and no other history.

This really is a very nice example of V8 Pilot and really must be viewed to be appreciated.
The car is fitted with a 24 stud engine.
