Black Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis), circa 1930, taxidermy horn, lower horn 39.6cm long, upper horn 18cm long, on angled oak block from an oval shield stamped Otto Bock

CITES Appendix I Annex A (Exempt), also USESA

Otto Bock, Gunmaker and Cartridge Designer. In 1905 he designed the 9,3X62 cartridge as an all-around big game cartridge adequate for most hunting in German Colonies in Africa. He succeeded admirably and this chambering is still highly regarded.
