A Burmese Milk and Sugar Basin, late 19th century, the dumpy baluster milk jug with dragon scroll handle, worked in high relief with eight Buddhistic figures within shrub divided arches, the underside engraved with peacock, the handles of the compressed ovoid sugar basin as scrolling cobras, and with two further claw and ball feet, the body similarly decorated, 8.3cm high

Provenance: Formerly belonged to Sir William John Keith, one time Administrator of Burma. Sir William lived until his death in St Margarets, Dunbar, now Winterfield Golf Clubhouse.
