A Matched Pair of Doulton Burslem Porcelain Floral Vases, circa 1900, of baluster shape, with scrolled short flared necks, conforming feet, one painted with yellow helenium type flowers and blue crocuses, the other with anemones, with green and cream ground decoration respectively, both signed C HART, green printed crown and cog wheel mark and incised 564, 27.5cm high

Charles Holloway Hart was born in Burslem 1867, and in 1880 started his apprenticeship under John Slater at Pinder Bourne & Co. He studied at the Burslem School of Art and worked for Doulton 1880-1927. His work sold well in North America.
