A Late 18th/Early 19th Century Indian Talwar, the 71cm curved steel blade with two narrow fullers running its length, engraved with script and with bladesmith's mark to the forte, the steel "basket" hilt with leaf engraved plate guard, the knuckle bow terminating in a recurving scroll, with plain cylindrical grip and domed disc pommel terminating in a stemmed globular knop.
