An American .28 Calibre Rimfire Five Shot Revolver by the Whitneyville Armory, CT, U.S.A., the 7cm octagonal blued steel barrel inscribed with maker's name and "Pat. May 23 1871", the cylinder bearing traces of blueing and numbered 275 to the interior, with nickel plated frame numbered 3275B, "sheath" trigger and two piece rosewood bird's head butt.
