Three African Short Spears, each with a steel leaf shaped head, fullered on each opposing side and with cast mark, with brass socket on a hardwood haft carved to simulate a trade musket with bone fore-end tip and butt plate; a similar spear, the hardwood haft carved with wrythen fluted bands, the steel butt of flattened blade form, (4 - possibly Shona, Zimbabwe).

An Austral Islands Wood Paddle, the back of the blade carved with bands of sunbursts and stars with a raised central ridge, the front carved with tiny bands of chevrons, the tapering cylindrical shaft with six panels of chevron bands, the circular pommel carved with eight dancing figures with large heads, 114cm long, blade 23cm wide. (Blade edge on one side has a broken and glued section of 25cm in length and 6cm at its deepest.)
