A 19th Century Powder Horn, retrospectively carved in relief with an oval portrait medallion of a lady, a castle and the inscription "SUCCESS TO THE CROW ISLE, DEATH TO PAUL JONES, OLAF JOHANSON 1779", the undulating rim incised Harald Johanson, Hull 1787, with pegged stopper, 31cm long, together with research material.
**The Crow Isle was a small British brig which had been chased ashore at Withernsea on the East Coast of England by the 42 gun ship the Bonhomme Richard of the American Rebel Squa
