Musical Instruments & Mechanical Music

Next Sale: Wednesday 7 June 10.30am

Now accepting entries for forthcoming sales.

The musical department researches, catalogues and auctions all music related items, from orchestral instruments and mechanical objects, to wireless receivers and speakers. Our specialist and team of consultants ensure each object is fully catalogued and marketed ahead of sale.

Recent specialist highlights include a 19th century Swiss cylinder music box by Nicole Freres, a 1974 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar and a 20th century violin by A.C Lancaster.

Historically musical items have been included as part of the scientific sales; however as the department grows and the market for high quality music related items strengthens, we now invite all serious sale enquiries from buyers and sellers of individual items or collections, in the following areas:

-Antique, vintage and quality modern instruments
-Barrel organs
-Bird in cages
-Brass, wind and other orchestral instruments
-Concertinas
-Gramophones
-Guitars, banjos, mandolins and other stringed instruments
-Jukeboxes
-Musical boxes
-Polyphons
-Quality wireless receivers
-Speakers
-Violins, cellos & violas
