Dr Adam Bowett has twenty years experience as a furniture valuer and cataloguer. As well as his work for Tennants, he is an active furniture historian and sits on the Council of the Furniture History Society. He has published widely in both popular and scholarly journals and his second book, Early Georgian Furniture, will be published early in 2008. He acts as consultant to numerous private and public bodies, including the Museums, Libraries and Archives Commission, The National Trust, Historic Royal Palaces and the Geffrye Museum. He currently holds a Research Fellowship at the Victoria and Albert Museum to further his work on historic furniture woods
