How to Buy

We welcome enquiries from prospective buyers and will be happy to answer any questions about the buying process or individual lots you may be interested in.

Viewing

Our highly popular non-catalogue sales are held at least three times a month. Buyers can view lots the day before the sale from 9am until 6pm and on the morning of the sale from 7.30am until 9.30am.

For catalogue sales, our colour illustrated catalogues cost £20 (inc. p&p) or are available for an annual subscription of £55.

Condition Reports & Digital Images

If condition reports or additional digital images are not available on our website for the lot you may wish to buy, please contact us and we will be happy to provide any extra information you require.

Bidding

You may bid in the saleroom on the day of the sale, or, if you cannot attend, by telephone or in advance of the sale. Internet bidding is also available on some occasions.

Bidding on the Day of the Sale

If you wish to bid at a sale, please register your name and address at our registration window and collect a numbered bidding card before the sale starts.

Costs

We ask you to make sure you understand in advance the total cost of your purchase. You will need to pay fees in addition to the hammer price of your lot. For example, you will have to pay commission charges and possibly VAT or royalties. Please visit our ‘Buyer’s premium’ page to find out more.

Payment

We offer a range of payment methods. You will need to pay in full before you can take your purchase away.

Delivery

We recommend a local haulier called Bradleys who will be pleased to quote for delivery on any larger items. They can be contacted by clicking the link above or at 01325 281 332.
