Sales and Events
We hold at least 60 sales a year at our purpose-built Auction House in Leyburn, North Yorkshire. These include major international catalogue sales, antique and home furnishing sales and collector’s sales.
We also hold regular appraisal and valuation days. Please check our website regularly for details of all forthcoming events and contact us if you need any information or advice – we will be happy to help.
Catalogue sales
Important fine art and antique catalogue sales are held three times a year in April, July and November. They attract buyers from across the country and overseas and include a wide range of items
Illustrated colour catalogues cost £20 (inc. p&p) or are available for an
annual subscription of £55.
Antique and Home Furnishing Sales
Our highly popular antique and home furnishing sales are held at least three times a month. Buyers can view the sale lots the day before from 9am until 6pm, and on the morning of the sale from 8am until 9.30am. Sales start at 9.30am, unless otherwise advertised.
Collector’s sales
Specialist collector’s sales are held in conjunction with our antique and home furnishing sales throughout the year, and include the following items:
- Textiles and Costume
- Dolls and Teddy Bears
- Samplers and Needlework Pictures
- Sporting and Fishing Items
- Scientific and Musical Instruments, Cameras and Tools
- Toys, Models and Comics
- Militaria, Arms, Armour and Ethnographica
- Beswick & Border Fine Arts
- General Collectables including advertising items and railwayana.
In addition, the following sales are held three to four times a year:
- Stamps and Postal History
- Coins, Tokens, Medallions and Banknotes
- Books, Maps, Postcards and Printed Material
