Tennants Auctioneers
A third generation family business, Tennants is a successful firm of auctioneers and valuers based in Leyburn, North Yorkshire, with offices in Harrogate and Oakham, Rutland and regional representatives throughout the UK.
Tennants is run by Rodney Tennant who, in 1991, moved from the premises in Middleham to a newly commissioned large purpose-built auction centre in Leyburn, North Yorkshire. This impressive building comprises three auction halls, a large restaurant seating 150 people and parking for up to 600 cars. Throughout the year it is the venue for important major International catalogue sales, specialist collector's items, book, stamp and coin sales plus the weekly sale of Antiques and Decorative items from local estates.
The company was established by Rodney Tennant’s grandfather over 100 years ago and today it continues to successfully serve both vendors and buyers with particular attention given to personal service. Tennants employs 35 staff and turnover for 2007 was £10 million.
