Militaria

Militaria

The Militaria Department’s knowledge and expertise is widely recognised, both nationally and internationally, and encompasses a broad range of items of historical interest.

The four specialist Militaria auctions a year feature items across diverse areas of collecting, from European and Eastern armour to 18th and 19th century firearms, military uniforms and documents, edged weapons, World War I and World War II ephemera, and masonic regalia.

Medals are also sold in the Militaria sales and unusual groups with good provenance sell strongly. The department has a particular interest in rare groupings of gallantry medals and those from the Victorian Campaigns.

The thriving Militaria sales attract a loyal following of buyers and targeted publicity ensures that our auctions reach audiences on a global scale. The department has a strong reputation for selling private family collections of Militaria, with notable recent sales including the single-owner auction of the P. Lamaison Van Heenvlient Collection of Global Arms and Armour.

The departments’ specialists can advise on all aspects of buying and selling Militaria at auction, from single items to large private collections.

We are now inviting entries for our forthcoming sales. If you have items you would like to consign, please request a free valuation using the link below.
