A Mid 19th Century Brown Leather Mounted Sewing Box, of sarcophagus form, with gilt tooled decoration impressed to the cover, and bearing an inscribed brass plaque 'E Barugh', on fancy gilt metal feet, two ring handles to each side, another to the lower drawer, enclosing pink silk lined interior, with a hinged mount to the underside of the cover, which hides a red leather purse. Accessories include three pretty shoe pin cushions, some bone bobbins and various lidded compartments, underneath this is a pull out drawer, 30cm wide, 16cm high and 22cm depth.

Condition Report:
Escutcheon missing from the front. A split to the right hand side just above the foot. Some rubbing and scuffing to the leather. Red leather purse is split in a couple of places. Pink ruched silk mount has a tear. The knops are missing from the lidded compartments, some fading and wear, stain to one. The papered lining of the drawer is slightly faded.
