A Fine and Rare Rolls-Royce Sterling Silver Presentation Desk Piece Barometer, by Saunders & Shepherd. London 1933, hallmarked in two places, in form of a Rolls-Royce radiator with machined grille decoration and fitted with R-R badge, lacking a Spirit of Ecstasy mascot, encasing a square dial barometer with adjusting hands, the plinth engraved JHK

From 1927 the Managing Directors of a Rolls-Royce main distributor were each presented with fine silver items comprising a desk clock for 1927, cigarette box for 1928, ink blotter for 1929 and sweetmeat dish for 1930. After Rolls-Royce purchased the Bentley firm in 1931 the gifts resumed in 1932 comprising an ink blotter for 1932, barometer 1933, cigarette lighter 1934, salver 1935, rose bowl 1936, and bookends 1937. A total of eleven pieces over this period
