We ask you to make sure you understand all the charges involved in selling with us. Please contact us if you need any further information or advice and we will be happy to help. VAT is applicable at the current rate on all commissions, premiums and charges.
You will pay 15 per cent of the hammer price on each lot which sells.
You will pay a minimum of £15 plus VAT per lot, whether it is sold or not.
Unless otherwise instructed in writing, the Auctioneers will hold all goods on their premises and in their custody against the risk of breakages, fire, burglary and water damage subject to their own warranty for which they will charge 1.5% per £100 (minimum £1.00). The Auctioneers shall not be held responsible for the loss, damage, theft or destruction of any goods not so covered. In the event of a claim any settlement figure shall be based on the lower sale estimate.
All electrical items must meet current Trading Standards legislation which means they must be tested for safety. We charge £5 to test electrical equipment and replace plugs where necessary. We reserve the right to dispose of unsafe equipment without your prior permission.
We will agree illustration charges for printed catalogues with you in advance.
Typical costs range from £30 up to £200 for a full page illustration.
There is no charge for website illustrations.
We do not charge for advertising unless this is specifically agreed in advance with you.
If you change your mind about selling your goods, we will charge 20 per cent of the estimated sale value or the reserve, plus any costs we have incurred.
We offer a collection and storage service.
Unsold lots which you do not wish to re-offer for sale are stored free of charge for seven working days after which a charge of £5 plus VAT per item per day is applied.
