Tennants Auctioneers are pleased to announce the Modern Life in Print Sale – A Collection of Grosvenor School works consigned from the family of Edith Lawrence. Approximately 80 lots of watercolours, paintings, textiles and lino cut prints principally by Edith Lawrence, Lill Tschudi, Dorrit Black and Claude Flight, in addition to original book designs and illustrations by the latter (including the original lino cut blocks) will be offered in this momentous sale to be held on 23rd July 2016.
A unique Northern Ireland Queen’s gallantry group of seven medals almost doubled their estimate at Tennants Auctioneers Militaria and Ethnographica sale on Friday 6th May, selling for £17,000.
On Saturday 9th April 2016, Tennants Auctioneers held its third ‘Cars, Motorcycles and Automobilia’ sale, which saw seventy-four varied lots go under the hammer in The Garden Room.  With a sold rate of 86.5% and a sale total of £195,000, Jeremy Pattison, Managing Director and Head of Sale, is hugely encouraged by the successful results.

The Spring Fine Art Sale at Tennants Auctioneers on Saturday 9th April 2016 offered 165 lots across a range of periods, from 17th century oils and 19th century renditions, through to modern and contemporary etchings, linocuts and screen-prints. This attempt to include a comprehensive range of carefully selected lots to represent a range of tastes and historical styles is a direct response to a market which remains eclectic, but certainly shows certain themes and strengths.
With our affection for period dramas and series’ such as Downton Abbey, it seems our appetite for jewellery of decades past has been wetted and the opportunity to purchase pieces from those eras is prevalent at auction.
