- Coins and Banknotes
Based in our large, purpose-built salerooms the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, each specialist is responsible for valuing a diverse range of items, from everyday single pieces through to collections of the best quality collectables and antiques. Working as part of a team, each specialist has responsibility for part of an annual programme of auctions and is involved in every stage of the sale process, from initial valuations, cataloguing, marketing and photography. The role is office based but with some occasional regional and national travel.
To be successful you will need substantial, demonstrable experience and qualifications in your chosen field although not necessarily in the auctions sector. You will also have great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. You must be well organised and able to work quickly and accurately on your own initiative in order to meet tight deadlines.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Saleroom Assistant/Van Driver for our busy Leyburn salerooms. Working as part of a team, the work includes:
Visiting our clients homes in one of our company light vans to collect antique furniture, ceramics, pictures and works of art and unloading at our salerooms
Moving items in the building and at our off-site stores as required
Helping clients who are dropping off and collecting items to unload/load their items
Much of this role involves moving large items of furniture, often from a first floor setting and you must therefore be capable of this type of work and of working on your own initiative. You will often be handling high value items and must be able to work carefully and accurately.
You must be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels and you must have a full clean driving license, previous relevant experience and live within a 30 minute drive of our Leyburn salerooms.
The hours of work are 7.30am-5pm Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays and evening working.

We are looking for friendly, presentable, loyal staff to work as part of a team in a busy environment. Daily duties include serving food and drink in a professional and knowledgeable manner to both restaurant and café customers. The role will also include hosting the catering side of special events. Previous bar experience advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
