Tennants are pleased to announce a change in format to their Summer Fine Art Sale, one of the highlights of the auction calendar.
Previously, the sale has been split over two days; however, this year all lots will go under the hammer on one day – Saturday 15th July. With two salerooms running simultaneously, this concentrated day will provide an even more exciting atmosphere and benefit both private and trade buyers alike.
Auctioneer Jane Tennant says: “The number of private clients attending our sales has grown rapidly over the last few years, and they are increasingly buying across multiple disciplines in the sale. By selling all the lots on Saturday only, we aim to make the auction experience as pleasurable and as simple as possible for all our clients”.
The Summer Fine Art Sale will combine over 1,100 lots of fine glass, ceramics, Asian art, works of art, silver, watches, jewellery, clocks, barometers, rugs, furniture, paintings and 20th century design.
Following the change in format for the Summer Fine Art Sale, the Motor Car, Motorcycles & Automobilia sale, which had traditionally been sold on the Saturday afternoon, will now take place on Sunday 16th July. Jeremy Pattison, Managing Director and Motoring Specialist commented: “The car sales have really developed over the last couple of years, and have established a huge following of motoring enthusiasts. Whilst the Summer Fine Art and the Motoring sales will be on view at the same time, we are confided that making a clear distinction between the two sales will ultimately benefit both”.
