Tennants are the only auctioneers with a specialist Beswick and Border Fine Arts department. For over ten years, the department has been holding three dedicated Beswick and Border Fine Arts Sales a year. Going from strength to strength, the sales achieve consistently high prices and strong selling rates.
Situated in the heart of northern England, the Beswick and Border Fine Arts auctions attract a loyal following of buyers from both the local rural community and specialist collectors throughout the UK. As such, the department has been trusted to sell notable large private collections from across the country, recently including collections from Devon, Gloucestershire and Aberdeenshire.
The specialist sales focus on the most collectable examples of Beswick and Border Fine Arts, including the limited edition ‘Classic’ Border Fine Arts range, and the most desirable examples of Beswick such as the mounted figures, rare colours such as Rockinghorse Grey and early Beatrix Potter figures with gold backstamps. Royal Worcester animal groups by sought after modellers such as Doris Lindner and Freda Doughty are also included.
In addition to the specialist sales, collectable pieces of the Border Fine Arts' Studio, Society and Membership ranges and Beswick frequently appear in the fortnightly Antiques & Interiors sales.
