Summer Transport Sale Preview

2nd July 2026.

The 2026 annual Transport Sale at Tennants includes an array of classic and vintage cars and motorcycles, along with sought-after petrolania and automobilia.

Leading the cars in the sale is a 1971 Ford Escort Mexico Registration Number UFV 267K.  First registered in September 1971, the car sports a striking red and white livery and comes with previous MOT certificates and the original V5, estimate £28,000-32,000.  Another highlight of the cars section is a superb concours and modified 1968 MG Midget, which has been lovingly maintained.  The MG incorporates all of the most desirable updates and improvements for this type of car as evidenced by a detailed invoice folder, estimate £14,500-16,500.   From a different motoring era comes a charming 1912 8HP Clément Bayard, with an extensive history file and detailed write-up from the current vendor, estimate £14,000-16,000.

The sale includes an array of motorcycles, led by a 1939 Velocette KTS 350 with old buff logbook going back to 1955, estimate £10,000-12,000

Petrolania in the sale features an Avery-Hardoll 101 Petrol Pump repainted in Shell livery with an estimate of £2,000-3,000 (all figures exclude Buyer’s Premium).  The automobilia section includes a beautiful René Lalique Tete D'aigle Car Mascot Eagle Head Hood Ornament signed René Lalique with an estimate of £1,500-2,000.
