The successful March Stamps, Postal History and Postcards Sale on 15th March began with five single-owner groups, with notable results for a dozen full sheets of the 1924-'25 Wembley Exhibition issues that sold for £6,600 hammer and seven lots of early Irish mint material from the same estate selling for a total of £7,350 hammer. Another highlight was an estate that included fine collections of Eastern European countries, with the Poland, Baltic and Soviet States achieving a hammer total of £9,800. The outstanding lot in the Postcards section of the sale was an album of mostly Southern Counties cards that sold for £5,000 hammer.
