Robbie Bright Bids for Trap Shooting Team

8th May 2024.

Tennants Auctioneers is delighted to be sponsoring Robbie Bright in his bid to be selected for the England Automatic Ball Trap Shooting team this Summer. Robbie, who is the Natural History Specialist and an Auctioneer and Valuer at Tennants Auctioneers, took up his gun again in 2016 after a twenty-five-year break from the sport. He says:

“My passion for clay pigeon shooting started as a youngster living in Wensleydale with the encouragement of my father and sister, whom were both crack shots, I thought why not give them some competition - annoyingly for my father and sister I was the first in our family to shoot a perfect 100 straight at trap!”.

Having been selected at 17 as a junior shooter for the England Trap Team, he went on to win the English Open Junior Trap Championship. Since returning to the sport, Robbie went on to shoot for the men's England Automatic Ball Trap team in 2019, and in 2021 was selected again and just missed out on winning the British Open the same year. Fired up to compete again this year, Robbie says:

“My goals for the future are to return to the England Team in 2024, and potentially gain a squad place in a future Great Britain Team to shoot overseas, and I am thrilled to be supported by Tennants, where I have worked for over 17 years.”
