Time to start collecting?

If you have never been to an auction before, it might seem rather daunting; but the experience is one not to be missed!

 

Buying antique, vintage and modern pieces if fun and affordable, and what better way of starting your collection than with Jewellery, Watches and Silver. From Scandi style with period Georg Jensen silver and vintage watches by Rolex, Omega and Zenith, to stylish contemporary silver by Stuart Devlin and period pieces for the home – the sale on 8th September has plenty to offer.

Highlights to look out for include a cultured pearl and textured gold statement ring (estimate: £300-400 plus buyer’s premium), a delicate woven gold ring by Scandinavian designer Bengt Hallberg (estimate: £60-80 plus buyer’s premium), a selection of gold animal brooches by Harriet Glen, and a strong offering of Georg Jensen silver jewellery. From the watch section, wearable watches include a gents’ square-faced wristwatch by Zenith (estimate: £350-450 plus buyer’s premium), and a delicate ladies’ Oyster Precision Rolex from 1956 (estimate: £150-250 plus buyer’s premium). Amongst period and modern silver are a stylish pair of tapering silver and gilt candlesticks by renowned silversmith Stuart Devlin (estimate: £400-600 plus buyer’s premium), and a 1930s gold combination pencil and watch by Dunhill (estimate: £300-500 plus buyer’s premium).
