We are open to the public as per our normal business hours of Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm. We hope the FAQs below will help you to plan your visit and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Are you open for valuations & consignments?
Yes we are open from Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm for valuations on an appointment basis. Please call us on 01969 623780 or email reception@tennants-ltd.co.uk to make an appointment.

We also offer initial online valuations for auction via email or video link such as Skype, Team Viewer, Zoom and other platforms. Please contact us if you would like to find out more about these services.

Are Your Auctions Going Ahead?

Can I view an auction?
Yes. Please see the individual viewing arrangements on the appropriate sale page.

Can I attend an auction?
In line with the Government’s Roadmap you are welcome to attend sales in person from Monday 17th May.

How can I participate in an auction?
From 17th May you can attend a sale and bid in the room, you can bid live online with internet bidding, or you can also submit an absentee bid. For certain lots telephone bidding is available. For details, please see Buying at Tennants.

 

Health & Safety - Our plans from 19th July

As the country moves forward with the easing of COVID related restrictions, we are mindful of the different ways in which these changes are viewed by our clients and visitors and our colleagues too. For some, there will be anxiety and concern that the measures which have protected us will be reduced, whilst others will be happy that they have been relaxed.

Throughout these challenging times, we hope we have been able to adapt to the ever-changing circumstances, trying to strike the right balance between prioritising health and safety whilst delivering the best visitor experience we can. We will continue to do our best to make a visit to us safe, comfortable and enjoyable for all and would like to confirm that from the 19th July, we will be continuing with the following COVID related systems:

- In line with Government and Public Health England advice, we will be encouraging staff and visitors to wear a face covering when on the premises.

- We have extensive washroom/hygiene facilities throughout the building.

- We will continue to offer free auction valuations at both our Leyburn and Harrogate (a booked appointment is strongly advised) and we welcome clients to view and attend auctions (no appointment is necessary). As we are fortunate to have large, spacious premises, social distancing has not been an issue so far, however we will continue to monitor the number of attendees at our sales so that everyone can feel safe and comfortable.

Our services and opening hours remain unchanged.

The Garden Rooms, Café and Bistro
All our front of house staff will be wearing face coverings at all times and the current distancing of tables in the Café and Bistro will be unchanged. Table service will also continue in the Café and booking for both the Café and Bistro is strongly advised.
