Kegan is the specialist in charge of the Toys and Collectables, Sporting and Fishing, Scientific Instruments, Cameras and Tools, and Musical Instruments and Mechanical Music Departments, cataloguing and working with consultants to put together auctions across diverse areas of collecting. He has a wide knowledge of the collectables market with model trains and antique and collectable toys being his major area of expertise. He has a particular interest in real and toy armoured vehicles

In 1994 he sold the Sylvia Anderson’s collection of puppets from the Century 21 Series including Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, Lady Penelope, Marina and Stanley Unwin alongside a vast collection of puppets head belonging to Mary Turner and John Read.  A subsequent sale included the iconic FAB1 car and its driver Parker.

In 2022 he had the pleasure of offering for sale Alan Ball’s World Cup 1966 items consisting of his Winners Medal (sold for £200,000), No.7 Shirt worn in the Final (sold for £135,000) and Cap (slod for £115,000), all three of which now stand in the Top Ten all time most expensive pieces of football memorabilia.

Kegan joined Tennants in 2014, having worked with antique and collectable toys since 1989. He has previously worked for specialist toys and collectables auctioneers Vectis, as well as working for Phillips and Bonhams in Bayswater and Knowle.
