Robbie is the specialist in charge of the three Natural History and Taxidermy sales a year, as well as being a part of the General Valuations team and an Auctioneer. He joined Tennants in 2007 as a porter in the saleroom and on the transport team, having previously worked in his family’s fine art and antiques delivery business.
Robbie has had a keen interest in taxidermy and the natural world since childhood. His father was an amateur taxidermist and dealer, and Robbie spent many hours helping with the finishing of cased specimens with naturalistic details. After assisting in the department for several years, Robbie took over as the specialist in 2016. Since then, he has grown the department and has handled important collections such as the single owner sales of The Historical Collection of Natural History and Taxidermy from Hodnet Hall, and Antlers of the World: The Raymond & Annie Hutchison Collection.
