Tennants is one of only a handful of UK auctioneers to hold dedicated Wine, Whisky and Spirits Sales. The department handles fine, collectable and affordable wines and champagne from the world’s leading producers as well as whisky, port, Madeira, cognac and liqueurs.
A buoyant market for wine and whisky has resulted in a demand for top bottles of Burgundy, Bordeaux, Claret and collectable whiskies such as Macallan. Since the dedicated wine sales were established in 2011, the department has built a solid client base of both the wine trade and individuals with a passion for wine and whisky. Our sales, which are held three times a year, are marketed to target this specialist audience.
The Wine and Whisky Department handles consignments of all sizes, from single bottles to entire cellars. We can offer a full valuation service for auction, private sale, probate and insurance, and are able to advise on current market values and all aspects of buying and selling wine at auction.
